I’ve always been a fan of Tarte cosmetics. They’re that brand that you can rely on for their quality, and in more recent times they have been a little more creative with their line of cosmetics which is great.
Tarte originally came out with their contour palette for lighter skin tones, which was then followed by their collaboration with MakeupShayla. I really enjoyed the second contour palette as the contour shade was deep enough for me and the highlighters complimented my skin tone well. Although I was not a fan of the blusher and the banana powder as they were too light for my skin tone.
The Tarteist Volume III Contour palette comprises of a mauve blusher (I wish Tarte had included a more rich berry / brown / red tone as the blusher), two shimmer highlighters (a gold champagne and rose gold tone), two bronzers (a sun-kissed and an intense bronzer) and one very deep contour. They didn’t include a brightening powder this time – I can only assume that this is due to the fact that it can be really hit and miss when it comes to these types of powders on deeper skin tones.
These are beautiful powders that blend effortlessly on the skin. They are very pigmented and definitely adapt well to my skin tone. They also have a sweet cocoa scent to them – which I love!
Although this has been released for a while in the States, I only just realised that it was now available on the QVC UK website for under £30! The palette is one I highly recommend as an all-in-one travel palette, as it’s lightweight and the products are well protected. Oh and can I just say that I’m loving the packaging (a gold casing with a pink shimmery faux leather covering)! Another bonus is that when ordering with QVC you also receive a dual ended contour and highlighter brush (tarte brushes are very good quality, so this is definitely a bonus addition).
Let me know what you think of the contour palettes if you’ve tried them!
