MARCH FOCUS | GRATEFULNESS

MARCH FOCUS | GRATEFULNESS

“The trick is to be grateful when your mood is high and graceful when it is low.”

– Richard Carlson

Wow! To say that last month was a bit of a rollercoaster, is a major understatement. I ended up taking about half the month off from writing blog posts. Also a break from engaging with any online world or friends in general. It was all about positivity last month, and boy was I tested to the max!

Last month (and actually currently) I’m preparing to move house – so it’s all been a bit mad lately. Moving, and redecorating at the same is crazy, let alone when you are moving to another country! But throughout this whole time I remembered that my month of February was supposed to be me being positive and I really tried. During that time I was thinking what my focus for March would be and I kept looking around and thinking that despite how hard it all seems now I’m actually grateful for my life. So this month – gratefulness is my focus.

There’s so much for me to be grateful for, and even the things that bring me stress I need to look at them in a new light.

A FEW THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR THIS MONTH

As I mentioned at the start of this post, I’m moving house. Although it’s stressful, I’m actually grateful that everything happened the way it did. It all came about very timely, even though at the time it felt like a huge burden. As I’m getting married in under a couple of months, moving was really not something I wanted to deal with. But this whole process has taught me that it’s working out well. Being able to move and find people to move into my own place in such a short amount of time is amazing.

Another thing I’m going to be grateful for is my family. To be completely honest, I would not have been able to do this without their help this past month. It’s great to have a true support system whether that be family or friends. Mine has definitely been my family who have helped with the moving process and made it so much better. Especially my fiancé and mum! I have been a bit stressed and snapped a few times at them, but deep down I know just how much I needed them.

The last thing I’m going to be grateful for more this month is time. I’ve always known that time is precious. But when deadlines loom, you really become aware just how precious it is. It’s so important to use your time wisely, and I’m just grateful to have time on my hands to do what I need to. My current situation regarding income and jobs is not great, but it has allowed me to have more time on my hands to get things done. I’m looking forward to slowing down this month. Also spending time doing more things I love – oh and doing the last of the wedding prep!

So what is it that you’re going to be more grateful for this month? Be sure to share below! To see my February Focus post see here.

What a lovely post. I think we all need to slow down and think more about what we’re grateful for, I’ve got a postbox a friend got me that you write things that you are grateful for or when someone does something nice for you etc and then when you’re down you read them etc, unfortunately I’ve got 1 so far!!! Not doing so well. Anyway sounds like you’ve got a lot to be grateful for.

I’m so happy to see this post. I’ve been thinking about gratitude for a while now and how I should focus more on what I’m grateful for. This is a great reminder!
