ZeroWater 7 Cup | The ‘secret’ to drinking more water

I won’t beat around the bush with this one. I used to hate drinking water. To be fair, as strange as it sounds, I’m not really one to consume much liquids during the day. About 2 years ago I decided that I needed to focus on my health. It became the case that I had put on a lot of weight and my skin was also not very healthy looking. After doing some research (and getting a personal trainer) I decided to change. One of the changes I incorporated was drinking more water. Well this lasted for nearly a year before I gave up. For me, drinking tap water was a no go and bottled water was too expensive (and terrible for the environment). I definitely needed something that would make it easier for me.

ZeroWater 7 Cup

Earlier this year I received the ZeroWater 7 Cup water filter jug. I’ve used water filters in the past but was intrigued by the claims of this one. The 7 Cup filtration uses sophisticated technology to remove all dissolved solids from your water. The filtration system is so unique in that it removes 99.6% of all fluoride from your water. In the first stage of filtration activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy removes the chlorine taste from tap water. The Ion Exchange stage removes all dissolved solids from your water and the next three stages remove other contaminates to ensure your water reading delivers a ‘000’ on the water quality meter you’re provided with. It is the only pour-through filter jug that’s certified by the NSF to reduce both lead and chromium.

I’ve been using the ZeroWater 7 Cup water filter jug for 7 months now, and it has become a staple in our fridge. The jug is so convenient and we only had to change the filter about 3 months in. The water jug fits perfectly on our top shelf in our fridge and isn’t too heavy when full. However I think that if you have weak wrists you may not find it to be so lightweight. I also loved the fact that I could use the filtered water without spilling water that’s still filtering. In the filter section you will see the filter particles, however these have never entered the main jug.

The convenience of the using ZeroWater 7 Cup has lead to me drinking mainly water now. My husband is also a fan of this and is always topping up the jug. We no longer purchase bottled water and our water consumption is solely from using the jug. The water tastes fresh and is crystal clear.

I’d definitely recommend giving the water filter a go! The ZeroWater 7 Cup retails for £24.99 and can be purchased here.

Let me know if you’ve tried this or are willing to try it!

I often forget to drink (especially water) and have to remind myself to. We do have a water filter and it does make the water taste fresher and I much prefer it to tap water.

Oh wow this looks good. I have always been quite good with water drinking, but really struggle here in the winters because it is so cold, even the tap water is freezing to drink! I just have to force myself to face it

I’d love to try one of these, the Britax one I have leaves a horrible powdery taste behind in the water which is not nice at all so It has put me off getting another one x

We used to have a water filter jug when we lived in Berlin, as the water as quite hard there. Edinburgh has quite good drinking water in comparison.

I really do need to put more effort into drinking water! I think you naturally slack off during the winter months with it being colder. The jug filter sounds really good for cleaning any nasties from the water.

This sounds great, you can really tell the difference between tap and bottled water, but as you say bottled it so bad for the environment so this is a great compromise.

I’m actually on the hunt for a good water filter for our fridge for the new year. We stick to bottled water here in Portugal (5L and pour it into smaller 2L bottles) but it creates alot of plastic waste and the Portuguese are not great at meeting their recycling g quotas. It’s part of our new years resolution to reduce our household waste. So this could be perfect for that!
