BEAUTY HIGHLIGHT | Colourpop Yes, Please Eyeshadow Palette

There was a time when EVERYONE raved about Colourpop, especially because of their unique eyeshadows. Now they are receiving a similar hype with their new pressed powder eyeshadows. As per usual I couldn’t resist and had to try their new shadows for myself.

Colourpop released their first multiple fixed pan eye shadow palette called Yes, Please. On their site they detail it as follows:

Our first ever fixed 12 pan palette is all about that golden hour glow – the hottest shades inspired by our fave time of the day.

As they mentioned above – the palette contains 12 x 0.85g (0.03oz) eyeshadows and it retails for $16, however with international shipping being $9.99 (when they aren’t doing free international shipping deals on any purchase) you’ll end up paying $25.99 (£19.92). I’ll also add that I didn’t receive any customs charges with this purchase either! Bonus!

On the Colourpop website they describe the formula as:

APPLICATION

Colourpop claim that for the best application: Apply with your favorite shadow brushes. Flat and firmer brushes will give the most color payoff. Fluffier brushes are great for blending. Use a small angled brush to line the eyes.

MY THOUGHTS

Overall I was quite impressed with the eyeshadows. They blended effortlessly on the eyes and the pigmentation was quite strong. I didn’t find any particular shade to be a problem shade for me. There is a lot of fall out in the palette, and when using it you’ll find it to be quite messy in the pan. My palette is now stained with pigment! I enjoyed using both the metallics and the mattes but I did gasp at the quality of the metallics when I initially swatched them. My favourite shades are Note to Self, French Kiss, Chauffeur, Spoiled, GNO, Louie, Bling and Big Cocktails. The only shade I probably found a little more difficult to work with when swatching was the yellow matte shade called Mischief – but when I applied it on the eyes it worked beautifully.

I definitely recommend this palette, however it’s currently out of stock, but be sure to pick it up when it’s back! You can find it here on the Colourpop website.
