ADVERTORIAL FEATURE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PANASONIC
As most of us in the UK are currently basking in this heatwave, being outside is definitely something we all want to do! However, come evening and night time it’s great to just laze about on the sofa with the fan on, an ice cold drink and a great programme on TV.
In this post I’ve partnered with Panasonic who have launched their Panasonic Oled Televisions which look perfect for that viewing experience. They are high definition TVs with a sleek design and a bright and colourful display. Over the summer I love settling down to some good TV and I thought this would be a great time to share with you my 3 top Netflix programmes to watch on TV.
The first programme I’d recommend is ‘Stranger Things’. This has been out for a while now and is currently on its second season but boy is it good! If you like your sci-fi type thrillers then this is one you don’t want to miss. Not only is it great TV, the actors are mainly young kids and the whole viewing experience is a throwback to the 80’s. Think ‘Dungeons and Dragons’, mum jeans and ‘ET’ all in one and you’ve got it. If that doesn’t satisfy a summer night in front of the TV, then…
Ok, so ‘Stranger Things’ might not be your cup of tea but you know what’s a great heartwarming programme? Queer Eye. If you like watching transformations and makeovers then this is definitely one for you. You might have heard of this one before and you’d be right. ‘Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’ was originally launched in 2003, but Netflix decided to relaunch it with a whole new five gay guys. They each specialise in their own area: culture, fashion, grooming, food and design. It’s great seeing communities in America’s Deep South, especially the more conservative men respond to being transformed by these men. I think this is definitely one that anybody and everybody can watch and is great for lighthearted summer viewing.
If you’re looking for an easy to watch comedy, I’d definitely recommend checking out the new Marlon comedy on Netflix. If you love the 90’s black American comedies and even early 2000s then this is basically a revamp of them. Think ‘My Wife and Kids’, ‘Smart Guy’, ‘In The House’, ‘The Wayans Brothers’ and the list goes on. Marlon is all about Marlon Wayans life as an Internet superstar. We watch him balancing life as a star and a co-parent of his two kids with his ex wife. It’s a great light hearted comedy viewing for those nights you don’t want to think about anything but just laugh.
Of course there are plenty of other programmes I’d love to share with you, but I thought I’d give you something from different categories. If none of the above seem appealing then, you know you’ve always got Love Island on every night!
Let me know what you’ve been watching these summer nights – I might just have to check it out! For a motivating post be sure to click here.
